Getting around
- Local buses called camiones run along the coastal road for a few pesos each way. They connect Zona Romántica north to the hotel zone and Marina without the taxi markup, and they run frequently during the day.
- Playa Los Muertos has a public pier and free sand on both sides of it. You do not need to rent a chair from a beach club to use the beach, just walk past them to the open shore.
- Eat at the Mercado Municipal in Centro for cooked meals and fresh juice at a fraction of what the Malecón restaurants charge. Go before 2pm when selection is best.
