Most budget hostels cluster within a few blocks of Plaza de Armas along Jr. Lima and Calle Bolognesi. Staying close to the plaza keeps you walking distance from the bus companies and tour operators, so you're not paying for taxis at 5am when flights over the lines depart.
Getting around
- The roadside Mirador Natural on the Panamericana Sur (about 20km from town) costs around S/2 and lets you see the Hands and Tree figures from ground level. Worth doing even if you're also booking a flight.
